About the product
Enotree tree inventory software for field surveys and carbon assessment
Enotree is a connected tree survey platform for environmental consultants, organisations, students, NGOs, and field teams that need structured tree records instead of scattered forms and spreadsheets.
One workflow from the tree to the final dataset
The Enotree tree survey app is used by invited surveyors in the field. A surveyor selects an assigned project, records the tree species, girth, height, canopy information, condition, precise location, and labelled photographs, then keeps the record safely on the device until it is ready to upload.
The Enotree web workspace gives the project administrator a different view of the same work. Administrators organise clients and projects, invite surveyors, review incoming records, match submitted names to the Enotree species database, recalculate eligible records, inspect maps and photographs, and export selected data for further analysis.
Designed for real field conditions
- Offline-first capture for locations where mobile data is unavailable or unreliable.
- GPS coordinates and reported accuracy stored with each tree record.
- Multiple compressed photographs with labels such as full tree, bark, leaf, and branch.
- Local drafts remain on the surveyor device until the upload succeeds.
- Project-based access so surveyors only work inside projects assigned by an administrator.
Traceable tree carbon estimates
For eligible records, Enotree uses the Chave 2014 above-ground biomass equation with diameter derived from measured girth, measured height, and the exact approved species density stored in the Enotree species database. The calculation metadata records the method and density source used.
Enotree does not invent a wood density when a submitted name cannot be matched or the approved species density is missing. The record is held for administrator review. Carbon and CO2 values remain estimates for preliminary assessment and should be validated by a qualified expert or auditor before certified carbon-credit, regulatory, or financial use.
Who uses Enotree?
- Environmental and ecological consultants conducting tree inventories and greenbelt studies.
- Industrial sites, campuses, institutions, and land managers maintaining a tree census.
- NGOs and student teams collecting structured field observations.
- Arboriculture and sustainability teams preparing repeatable monitoring datasets.
Frequently asked questions
Is Enotree only a tree identification app?
No. AI-assisted identification can suggest a species, but the core product manages the complete survey workflow: measurements, GPS, photographs, review, calculations, mapping, and exports.
Can surveyors work without internet?
Yes. Surveyors can save records locally and upload them when a suitable connection becomes available.
Does Enotree issue certified carbon credits?
No. Enotree creates traceable estimates and structured evidence. Certification and regulatory claims require the appropriate independent expert or auditor.
